• Redskins take steps to improve FedEx Field

    Eighteen days later, the Redskins play two prime-time games in six games at FedEx Field. The team plans to upgrade the surface at FedEx Field in June and replace it after a Nov. 3 game against San Diego three weeks before the San Francisco 49ers visit for a Monday night game Nov. 25. The Redskins led the NFL in rushing yards at home last season. Also, the middle of the field will be re-sodded after the Redskins host the Chargers on November 4. “Once the [2013] schedule comes out, our people are ready to commit to a schedule so we have some new sod for the end of the year,” G.M. Bruce Allen previously vowed.
