• Report: Boston, Dallas, Orlando & Charlotte Most Likely To Trade For DeMarcus Cousins

    Summary of 3 articles · Updated Dec 31, 2012
DeMarcus Cousins, in his second game back from a team suspension, made Boston pay for its double teams by posting 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his first career triple-double. KSR writes that a source close to Cousins hopes a deal will be completed soon with one of four teams: the previously mentioned Mavericks and Celtics, as well as Orlando and Charlotte. Yet these are also Cousins’ preferred destinations, and it’s arguable none of them – especially Dallas and Boston – have the resources to entice the Kings. As was the case in the final-seconds win over a short-handed Knicks team, when the second-unit scoring of James Johnson, Jimmer Fredette and Aaron Brooks played a major role, Cousins wasn't the Kings' top gun on Sunday. With the rest of the Kings' backcourt banged up, Isaiah Thomas is making the most of his opportunity to start. The Kings also lost Marcus Thornton to a sprained left ankle during the game but it didn't hurt them as they had their second-highest scoring game of the season and had at least 28 assists for the fourth straight game.
