Starks would very likely be the favorite to start if he signs with the Chargers. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, San Diego hosted free-agent tackle Max Starks on Wednesday. Over the years, though, Starks has become a serviceable left tackle, and he has helped Pittsburgh get through the last two seasons at the position. According to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego, Starks concluded a recent visit to the team without agreeing to terms. But he remains in the mix. The free agent left tackle had what people familiar with the situation have described as a positive Wednesday visit with the Chargers.
