    Colts linebacker Robert Mathis finished his 2013 season with a flourish. Not that Robert Mathis didnt appreciate being named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for the second time in three months, but it was a different honor he seemed to embrace with more passion. Robert, doesn’t he really care? If you know Robert like we all know Robert, he wants to win and he wants to be in New York in February. That’s his No. 1 goal. Our analysis: We dont have a vote in the Associated Press postseason awards Ive argued the point that Indy needs to have a vote in the process, to no avail but Mathis would get our vote. The sack did not become an official statistic until after Jones had retired from the league, but most people familiar with his era believe that he would be at or near the top of the career sack list if the stat was adopted earlier.
