    Santonio Holmes, who talked down his recovery all preseason, said Tuesday that he was frustrated that he wasn’t allowed to play more in Sunday’s game against the Bucs. This time last week Santonio Holmes wouldn't even commit to playing in the opener against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Tuesday, Holmes said he was frustrated he only played 45 snaps in his first game in almost a year in the Jets' 18-17 win over the Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium. "I was frustrated for myself, and respecting the coaching staff and the decision that they made that I understood from the beginning, that I had to play a certain amount of plays because it was my first game back," Holmes said in a press conference on Wednesday. Holmes himself has been somewhat reserved when discussing how he was feeling this preseason and how the injury was progressing. It’s still early to get too strong a sense of how those units will finish, but the Patriots secondary has been a unit that has been bad for years now.
