The official report date for pitchers and catchers to Nationals camp was Wednesday, and as the team gathered for a Thursday morning meeting, newly acquired closer Rafael Soriano was absent due to a visa issue. He was delayed by visa issues, but the team's new closer showed up Saturday in good shape and ready to get to work. "I want to win," Soriano said. "That's what I'm here for." He was able to obtain his visa in the Dominican Republic on Friday morning and will likely report to Nats camp on Saturday, according to manager Davey Johnson. Soriano will not have his first bullpen session until Monday. Later in the day, Soriano was working on fielding and bunting drills. I'm sure he'll come to camp in good shape. The 33-year-old right-hander saved 42 games while posting a 2.26 ERA in 69 appearances in the closer's role after Mariano Rivera tore his right ACL in May.VIERA, Fla.
