Wednesday was once thought to be D-Day for Vick and the Eagles, but the provision buys new coach Chip Kelly some time before he has to make a decision on the 32-year-old quarterback. From an intangible standpoint, he doesn't represent the new beginning the Eagles are seeking, and he probably made no friends by calling his teammates a bunch of quitters at the end of last season.
