• Star power: BBWAA award finalists to be unveiled

    The BBWAA announced three finalists for each of its four league-specific awards: Most Valuable Player, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year. Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutchen and Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt were also named as finalists for the award. With the Most Valuable Player Award to include five from each league and the Cy Young, Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year awards to include three from each, the finalists will be the focus of a one-hour special on MLB Network beginning at 6 p.m ET. During a one-hour MLB Network special on Tuesday, the Cardinals' Yadier Molina, Adam Wainwright and Shelby Miller were revealed as finalists for the Baseball Writers' Association of America end-of-the-season awards. The Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Awards for each league will begin the parade of honors on Monday, followed by Managers of the Year on Nov. 12, Cy Young winners on Nov. 13 and MVPs on Nov. 14.
