    Steelers cornerback Cortez Allen had minor surgery on his right knee Friday that will keep him off the field for at least a couple of weeks. Cortez Allen, the Steelers new starting left cornerback, will miss at least a "couple of weeks,'' according to Mike Tomlin after he had "minor" knee surgery this morning. The Steelers will be without their current starting CB as Cortez Allen, named the starter opposite Ike Taylor before camp starter, will miss a couple of weeks after minor surgery on his right knee Friday. Allen was the Steelers fourth round pick in the 2011 NFL draft. The Steelers released a statement from coach Mike Tomlin, saying Allen had “minor surgery on his right knee” today. Allen was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 draft. Last season, the Steelers finished with the top-ranked pass defense in the NFL.
