• Titans LB McCarthy out again with concussion

    Tennessee middle linebacker Colin McCarthy will miss his second consecutive game because of a concussion, and his sixth overall, when the Titans visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. McCarthy was held out of practice Friday after practicing some Wednesday and Thursday. McCarthy, a defensive captain, missed four games previously this season because of a sprained right ankle. McCarthy was hit in the right side of the head by a line drive off the bat of the Los Angeles Angels' Erick Aybar on Sept. 5. The Titans promoted receiver Michael Preston from the practice squad Friday and waived fullback Collin Mooney. It's the day after the winter meetings in Nashville and it's proving to be just as busy as the meetings themselves! OK, so maybe that's not saying a whole lot, but at least there has been some movement with two solid contributors coming off the board.
