The Titans announced today that they have signed Wilson, who was a team captain for the last five years in Buffalo but was released when the Bills decided he was no longer worth his $2.9 million salary. Wilson can be a sure tackler, and is very much a strong safety. The Titans have addressed one of their biggest needs with a veteran who should bring them both the production they lacked from the strong safety position in 2012, and a large dose of the leadership the defense lacked. That veteran experience is much-needed on a Tennessee defense that had seven starters in their fourth season or less in 2012 with all three starting linebackers in their second season or less.
