Major league batting leader Troy Tulowitzki has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Colorado Rockies because of a left hip flexor strain. Tulowitzki chalked this injury up to just "a little bump in the road." Tulowitzki missed a total of 282 games from 2008-’13, mostly because of various leg injuries. The Colorado Rockies made it official Tuesday that their MVP-candidate shortstop would be hitting the DL because of a hip flexor strain. Josh Rutledge has started the past two games in Tulowtizki's absence and he's expected to get "the lion's share" of playing time moving forward, according to Weiss.
