CHICAGO – Jason Grilli has been moved out of the closer role, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said this afternoon. Hurdle says Grilli is "all about doing what's best for the club and getting better. Grilli allowed a tying homer to Devin Mesoraco in the ninth inning of Thursday's 4-3 victory over Cincinnati. “Jason is going to get moved out of the closer’s role and we’re going to give him the opportunities to get a few outings in…when we’re behind,” said Hurdle. “In the body of work I’ve covered in two and a half years and I’m having this little blip and this conversation right now is minute.
