    Ward has been chosen by his teammates to receive the 2013 Ed Block Courage Award. Center Jason Kelce was named the Eagles' winner of the Ed Block Courage Award on Tuesday after voting by teammates. “First of all, I want to say thank you, and it means a lot in being chosen as the winner of this award by my teammates and my peers,” Ward said. Ward is among the team leaders in tackles less than one year after a knee injury cut his 2012 season short. Through his hard work and success on and off the field, Ward has earned the respect of his teammates, many of whom, including left tackle , quarterback , offensive lineman and defensive back , were in attendance to see him accept the honor. This past year, Ward supported Browns PLAY 60 through school visits and hosting youth football camps, helped provide turkeys to Northeast Ohio families for Thanksgiving and sponsored a community season-ticket program, which provides tickets, apparel and food for the Boys & Girls Club. "The biggest part is it's voted on by your teammates, so it shows they have a certain amount of respect and understanding about the way the season went last year," Kelce said. "It was a tough season.
