Derek Jeter is unsure how he will feel Tuesday when he begins his farewell season with the New York Yankees against the Houston Astros ." This campaign, of course, will carry the 162-game subplot of Jeter's farewell tour. Jeter had only appeared in one series in Houston prior to Tuesday's opener. Jeter stayed in the game, played nine innings and finished 1 for 3 with a run scored. Jeter will take part in the first of many pregame ceremonies on Wednesday in Houston, with Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens expected to be on hand. On Wednesday, the Astros were much more accommodating, honoring Jeter with a pre-game ceremony that included appearances from former teammates Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens, along with the first of several anticipated gift presentations as he visits each stadium for the final time. And on Friday in Toronto, we'll see the big league debut of Japanese pitching sensation Masahiro Tanaka, who was snapped up by the Yankees with a seven-year, $155 million deal after New York agreed to pay a $20 million posting fee to his former club back home, the Rakuten Golden Eagles.
