It's possible that only four players will remain on the roster next season from the Saints' 2009 Super Bowl team: Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Jahri Evans and Thomas Morstead. Whether Lance Moore is released or not, one thing is clear today: The Saints are in the midst of a major makeover. In the past four months they have parted ways with five players from the 2009 Super Bowl team: Jabari Greer; Roman Harper; Garrett Hartley; Will Smith; and Jon Vilma. Moore and Pierre Thomas, who reportedly are being dangled as trade bait, could be next. As many as eight of the 22 players who started for the Saints in their 2013 season opener against Atlanta could be gone next season. That's unlikely, but it remains a possibility given the uncertain futures of franchise tight end Jimmy Graham and unrestricted free agents Malcolm Jenkins, Robert Meachem and Zach Strief.
